Gamay grapes

We were impressed with the wines and can understand why they have won several awards.

The origin of this winery's name is an interesting story that you will want to ask about when you visit.

1998 Monterey-Nevada County Chardonnay
Intense citrus fruit aromas. A light, buttery finish.

1998 California Menage à Trois
Gold Medal -- Los Angeles County Fair
Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscat Canelli grapes are blended in this delightful wine. We immediately picked up the aroma of the Muscat grapes (honeydew and orange blossoms). The flavor is sweet, yet balanced to give a nice crispness. Perfect for a summer picnic.

1998 Bowman Zinfandel
Gold Medal -- Amador County Fair
Silver Medal -- Calaveras County Fair
Absolutely delightful! Complex, full-bodied flavors of dark cherries and hints of anise.

1998 Eschen Zinfandel
Begins with fresh cherries on the nose that carry over into the taste, along with yummy red licorice. Firm tannins give it aging potential.

1998 Amador County Zinfandel
The initial aroma of spices led to a jammy cherry flavor with a red licorice finish. Very tasty wine.

1997 Napa Valley Sparkling Brut
We finished our tasting with this very luscious, palate-cleansing champagne.

Other wines produced by this winery include: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Sangiovese, and Syrah.
