Beaulieu Vineyard (also referred to as 'BV') is probably one of the better-known Wineries in the Napa Valley. And with good reason. They produce some very fine wines.

Although the wines offered in the regular tasting room are quality, be sure to take advantage of the wines in the Reserve Room.

1999 Sauvignon Blanc
A very refreshing wine with crisp, lemony flavors. It should pair wonderfully with seafood, chicken, and ravioli.

1997 Merlot
Aromas of red cherry and red pepper are predominant, but the flavor is more of black cherry and black pepper. A hearty wine that can be enjoyed now but will age nicely and be 'just right' in 5 to 8 years.

1997 Cabernet Sauvignon - Rutherford
Spice and berries in the bouquet with black current in the flavor. A nice cabernet with good body, we believe this wine will be extremely enjoyable in about 8-10 years.

1998 Carneros Reserve Chardonnay
Luscious, smooth wine! Very full-bodied with pear and apple aromas and a hint of lemon.

1998 Signet Ensemble
Extremely tasty wine with good body. Made from Syrah, Grenache, Carignane, Mourvedre, and Viognier grapes, it has spicy black fruit flavors, rounded out with hints of black pepper and roasted cherries in the finish. Drinks well now but will be even better in 3-5 years.

1995 Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Soooo soft on the palate. We picked up flavors of ripe black cherry, black pepper, with a touch of dark chocolate. Yum.

1990 Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Intense berry aroma, very soft and smooth on the palate. A hint of anise in the finish. This is a vibrant wine that is wonderful now but will probably be irresistible with just a few more years of aging.
